Shabnam Jannesari

In these paintings, I decided to work on forbidden issues in my home. My vision for the small painting project is depicting the Iranian girls who are trying to make their limitations look humorous.  These girls are usually considered ugly; however, my painting is going to change the way that these girls are perceived. Regarding colors, I feel the colors must be white and black. After the revolution in Iran about forty years ago, the rules were strict and rigid, like they were white and black.
